Kindle Achievements for Kindle iOS, Android

In August 2021, I was brought on to the Amazon Books UX Design Team to help bring a brand new achievements experience on Kindle iOS, Android, and Fire Tablet to life. Kindle Achievements launched in April 2022 in the form of seasonal challenges to more than 34 million customers across multiple surfaces.

MY ROLE

Entire UX process from concepting, research, testing, and leading design with product and engineering stakeholders

DURATION

August 2021 – April 2022

Learn more about my involvement

Over the course of my months-long involvement, I designed not only major parts of the achievement experience but also the visuals for the achievements themselves. In addition, I led user research and a Design Sprint to visualize the creative and experiential direction for the project, which involved collaborating with product, engineering, legal, and marketing teams within Amazon. This provided a definition for complex problems that were vague at the time.

Due to the strict nature of Amazon’s non-disclosure agreement, I can’t share thorough details about my design process on my website. More specific information on my research, concepts, designs, and workshops for Kindle Achievements can be shared privately in a portfolio presentation upon request by emailing me.
